Ticks are part of life in many vegetated parts of Greater Sydney. Bushland edges, long grass, leaf litter and wildlife corridors all support them. A yard treatment can reduce ticks on your property. It cannot replace vet-recommended protection for dogs and cats, and it cannot clear every tick from a neighbouring reserve.
Extreme Pest Control NSW provides tick-focused treatments for homes across Greater Sydney where vegetation and wildlife pressure make outdoor areas a concern.
What a tick problem looks like
People notice ticks on pets after time in the garden, or on themselves after walking through long grass. Leaf litter against fences, unmaintained edges and dense ground covers are typical harbourage.
Wildlife such as bandicoots can carry ticks through a suburb. That is a landscape fact, not something a spray along one fence line permanently stops.
Indoor ticks usually arrived on a person or pet. Treating the lounge room without treating the yard and the animal leaves the source in place.

Health — get medical and vet advice
Tick bites can cause illness in people and paralysis or other disease in pets. We do not give medical advice. If a tick is attached or someone is unwell, follow current NSW Health guidance and see a doctor or vet.
Yard treatment is one layer. Pet preventatives, clothing, and checking after outdoor time are others.
Over-promising a “tick-free suburb” would be dishonest. We treat the property you control.
How tick treatment works
We treat vegetation, fence lines, and other harbourage on the property where product can be applied safely. Mowing, reducing litter and keeping a clearer edge around play areas improves results.
Pets still need veterinary tick prevention suited to your area. Ask your vet; do not rely on a garden spray as the only protection.
Repeat treatments may be needed in peak seasons, especially after rain when vegetation grows back and wildlife keeps moving through.

FAQs
Can you make the yard completely tick-free? +
We can reduce ticks on the treated property. Wildlife, neighbouring land and long grass will still introduce them. Combine treatment with pet protection and regular checks.
Is this a substitute for a vet product? +
No. Speak to your veterinarian about preventatives for dogs and cats in Sydney.
How should I remove a tick? +
Follow current NSW Health advice or see a pharmacist, doctor or vet. We treat yards; we do not provide clinical care.
