What a cockroach problem looks like
German cockroaches are small, pale brown and usually confined to kitchens, break rooms and food storage. You may see them at night on benches, around the stove, in hinges of cabinets or behind the fridge. Daytime sightings often mean the population is already large.
Australian and American cockroaches are larger. They live in gardens, drains, subfloors, meter boxes and roof voids, then wander indoors. After rain they are commonly found in bathrooms and laundries.

How cockroach treatment works
We identify the species because indoor German cockroaches and outdoor-invading species need different approaches. For German cockroaches, gel baits in harbourage, treatment of cracks and voids, and attention to grease, clutter and appliance cavities are typical. Repeat visits are sometimes required for heavy infestations.
For larger outdoor species we treat harbourage around the building, wet areas, drains where appropriate, and entry points. External treatments help, but a constantly wet subfloor or open drain still invites them back.
You should expect us to look behind the fridge, under the sink and around the hot water system — not only spray skirting boards. Preparation such as clearing under-sink cupboards makes the difference between a thorough job and a wasted visit.
