What a bee problem looks like
A swarm is a cluster of honey bees resting temporarily on a fence, branch or wall. They are often docile in that state but still need a beekeeper rather than a hose.
A hive in a wall, chimney or roof void is an established colony with comb and stores. Removing it poorly can leave honey melting into plasterboard and a smell that draws other pests.
Native bees, including some that nest in timber or cavities, are not European wasps. Identification matters before anyone reaches for insecticide.

A football-sized cluster of bees on a branch or structure, often for a day or two.

Why bees are handled carefully
Incorrect treatment of a honey bee hive in a wall can cause honey to leak, secondary pest problems, and structural staining.
Native bees may be protected. We will not treat an unidentified bee nest as if it were a European wasp nest.
People with bee sting allergies need space around the activity. That is a medical issue — call emergency services if someone has a severe reaction.
How we handle bees
Inspection and identification come first. A swarm may be a live-removal job for a beekeeper. An established feral hive in a structure may need a combined pest and building approach so comb is removed, not just the insects killed.
Where live removal is realistic we prefer it. Where a hive cannot be relocated and is a genuine safety or building problem, we discuss lawful options rather than defaulting to a spray.
After a cavity hive is dealt with, sealing the entry (once bees are gone) stops the next swarm from occupying the same void.
